West Ham´s Icelandic debt!

Busy morning at the office getting things sorted before the afternoons drive to Stockholm. Paddy called from Wales and wondered if  ”Tipslördags” jackets were on there way? Of course they are interested in the same quality winter jackets that Lansdowne.se´s ”King of the Castle” winners wear with such pride. Biggy Wiggy and Jonas Berg know the feeling. Junior is the Chauffer for the last leg of the journey, Norrköping – Stockholm as its 110km and i dont have to remind him to watch his speed. I dont know how many times i have driven from Kalmar – Stockholm but i do know it doesn´t get any the more enjoyable.

The award for the ”clowns” of the decade must be the Icelandic ex owners of West Ham United. Freddie Ljungberg and Kieron Dyer cost the club £34m over the terms of their contracts, having only started a combined total of 32 matches for West Ham since the summer of 2007. On top of that their decision to award injury-plagued striker Dean Ashton a new contract in December 2008 backfired, leaving them liable for a £5.81million payment when he was forced to retire in December. I just hope the new owners can keep them afloat and Zola keeps them in the Premier League. Where were the Icelanic owners when i was in contract talks?
