Visit Britain in Gothenburg
Publicerad 2010-03-26 kl: 21:59. Kategori: ÖvrigtMy Thursday was spent at the Travel Exhibition in Gothenburg. A long and interesting day.
6.00 when i rolled out of Kalmar. A bit misty but perfect road conditions and i was in Växjö before i could blink. I had a quick breakfast before i left home and i was determined not to make a McDonalds stop. I drove past my old ”home town” Anderstorp and memories flooded back. I dont miss Anderstorp but i do have fond memories of both people and happenings during my 11 years there. Soon in Borås and now the sun was shining. I had made good time and when i had parked up and walked 500 m to the Exhibition hall it was 10.00.
I was representing Tord Grip Travel and we had a couple of interesting meetings. Golf and Premier League football is a combination i am sure will be a success this coming autumn and one that Lansdowne.se will be working on. Our first meeting was with ”Visit Britain”. It felt like i was back at home. Union Jacks and the English language. The British stand is one of the most popular at the Exhibition and the staff worked hard making sure that the British hospitality was at its usual level of expectancy.
I met a few familiar faces during the day. Thomas Ravelli was in the Austrian stand. Harald Treutiger was everywhere and even Claes Malmberg showed his face. My favourite cover band ”Tre Drag” were in action in the evening and had the crowd loving every minute. ”Noodles” turned up at around 18.00 and was quickly in the swing of things.
The party continued at Park Lane later in the evening. 2000 special guests invited by Air France and their partners. ”Noodles was by now in great form and i must admit that it felt like i was back at ”Karlssons” in Jönköping partying after the Promo Expo.
