Stockholm, Japan and Canal Plus

Canal Plus - Studio

Super Sunday – On a break.

Now back in Kalmar after a long interessting weekend in Stockholm. I kept up my usual saturday rutin with a long walk. This time it was 90 minutes around Djurgården. I must admit i wasn´t planning on 90 mins but i got lost, took a left turn instead of right and was all of a sudden in the middle of nowhere. Djurgården is however always packed with walkers, joggers and tourists and has some beautiful scenery so time flew by.

Saturday early evening and i met up with an old friend and a Stockholm legend. ”Japan” as he is known in Kalmar and i have been good friends for 25 years now and have had many a night out on the town together. This saturday was a quiet one though as i was working the next day. We did however manage to visit Grodan, Ture´s the newly opened Story Hotel Bar and then off to Italiano. Even managed time to have a drink with Pontuz Gårdingar and even say hello to Lena PH. Sometimes i miss Stockholm by night and it s allways very eventfull when Japan takes control.

Sunday morning i woke early having coughed throughout the night. Long breakfast including egg and bacon, Göteborgs Posten and a large Latte. Then off to the Canal Plus studio. Canal + now share the same reception as TV 4 so i was on familiar ground and got the usual buzz when entering the building. As always nice to see a lot of familiar faces behind the cameras. I asked then to film me from my best side and as usuall they said they would focus on the back of my head! Nora, Jonas and Richard are all easy to get along with and things ticked along nicely. Liverpool were beter than i had expected and West Ham nicked a point. My voice luckily held out untill the end of the programme.

The first ”King of the Castle” winner is getting ever closer. PK and Jacob are fighting it out for the honour. 4 days in a row now and GAIS – BP is todays test.

I watched 3 more episodes of the british sitcom show Couplings last night. I dont know how i managed to miss it when it was shown on Swedish TV! Its one of the funniest comedy series i have seen in recent years. On a par with 2½ Men, Simpsons and Friends.

Haeggman shot a 65 yesterday and finished tied 21st in the Castello Masters. He´s getting ever closer to top form and i just hope he has enough tournaments left for him to be able to keep his tour card. Good luck Jocke.

I am weighing in again tomorrow morning and am just hoping that the 2 hotel breakfasts haven´t had a negative effect.

Untill tomorrow!!
