PK, Wenger and the Stadium course!
Publicerad 2010-03-01 kl: 18:02. Kategori: ÖvrigtThe winner of Februarys ”King of the Castle” and the now owner of a Lansdowne.se suitcase is my old ”partner in crime” Peter Karlsson. ”PK” managed 17 correct results in Feb and that was enough to give him a one point victory over Michael Pettersson. PK now enters the ”Wall of Kings” and of course Lansdowne.se warmly congratulate him.
Manchester United won the league cup yesterday beating Aston Villa 2-1 in the final. The most encouraging thing about this game was that all 3 goals were scored by englishmen and there were 12 british players in the starting line ups.
Arsene Wenger is at it again. Claiming that everyone is out to get at his players. 3 Arsenal players have unfortunately suffered broken legs as a result of bad tackles in recent seasons. It is one of the worst sites in football when a player receives a serious injury and all involved with the game will never defend reckless tackling. But for Wenger to insuate that his players of subjected to tougher tackles than other sides is nonsence. I have seen 20 – 3o tackles this season that have been far more reckless than that of Shawcrofts was on Aaron Ramsey the difference being that none of those tackles resulted in serious injury. The only thing that matters now is that Ramsey fully recovers and goes on to fullfill his promise.
I watched Viasat Golf last night and the Phoenix Open from Scottsdale, Arizona. The course is called the ”stadium course” and the 16th hole is actually built in a stadium. Its not a difficult hole a Par 3 hole 135 m. But the atmosphere is like nothing else in golf. 15 – 20000 fans behave like they are at a football match. Cheering, booing and generally causing a commotion. Then all goes quiet when the player is about to swing. If he hits the green alls well. If he misses then he is jeered all the 130 odd metres to the green. Only in America!
