Great TV with Olsson, Hellner and Södergren!
Publicerad 2010-02-21 kl: 21:05. Kategori: ÖvrigtLast nights cross country skiing 30 km pursuit was one of the most exciting ski races i have ever witnessed. I obviously cheer on the swedes as my countymen aren´t that strong in the winter events and last night was fantastic. Johan Olsson took the lead half way and left the field behind. His lead was 24 secs at most but the chasing group were only 10 secs behind with 2km to go. In the closest chasing group of 3 was another swede Markus Hellner who had together with a third swede Anders Södergren already done a great job in holding the field back for the last 13km. As they caught up with Olsson it felt like his chances of a medal had passed but he some how found new strength and was together with Hellner first into the stadium and looking good. Hellner was the strongest over the final 300 m and won the gold and Olsson managed to hold off the challenge of Russian Legkov and take the bronze. Great TV and the swedish expert commentator Per Elofsson was in tears.
Sunday afternoon and time for another walk. Biggy Wiggy kept me company and we set off on the usual route. -7 degrees and it felt even colder. We started talking about Kalmar FF´s first home game against IFK Göteborg at the same time it started snowing again. We both agreed there is no way it will be played at Fredriksskans and as we were on our way past the stadium we decided to have a look at the pitch. 35 cm deep and more to come.
AIK – Kalmar FF pre-season friendly 1-3. Mendes 2, Dauda 1. Always good to beat the champions. But as an AIK supporter said after the game. Indoor games dont count!
PK in the lead by 2 with 7 days to go. Will he become the February ”King of the Castle”?
The fight is on for the 4th spot in the Premier League. Liverpool, Tottenham, Man City, Aston Villa and my outsider Everton. Who´s your money on?
Snäcken also noticed the Nordman similarity with last nights Shampoo Girls number. Obviously we both have a musical ear!
Snow covered Fredriksskans!
