Good mix at first meeting

19.00 and the information meeting is under way. Lasse and Björn (Pinky and Perky) are the First Open tournament organisers and are now in their 13th year at the helm. This years finalists are from all parts of Sweden and of all ages between 14 – 55. We have AIK fans Djurgården fans Öster fans and of course Kalmar fans. We however dont have the resident tournament referee with us. Björn Bergman from Växjö who has experience from the European Tour has been hit by the Swine Flu inflection as has one of the finalists and he and his partner have withdrawn.

We also have a couple of representatives from Swedens biggest golf magazine following the event. More about them later.

The Voice and myself were both given a couple of mins to introduce ourselves i mentioned of course that i was blogging the event for Mix Megapol and that anyone who is off work ill or supposed to be somewhere else can always use an alias. The Voice has promised to show his full repertoire at the friday banquet. Should be interesting.

7.00 breakfast tomorrow. 8.oo the bus leaves for the course. Tomorrow is the practise round allowing the players to get to know the course and work out their tactics. Good weather forecasted. Should be an interesting day!
