Some things are meant to be!

South Africa here they come! I just knew Sweden would get the 6 points they needed! Its happened so many times before! it doesn´t matter how  the result is achieved there are no extra points for style! Defensively things are solid, a hard working midfield and two forwards that flatter to decieve! thats another way of saying dont deliver! Everyone i spoke to after the Hungary game had the same opinion about Elmander. He ran all game or he had a great work rate, he was everywhere and even he was tireless. If this was a description of ”Musse” in the 3000 steeplechase final it would have been great praise but this is an international footballer. I wonder if Elmander himself enjoys reading these comments? Zlatan scored the winner with his stomach in the last second and as such did his job. However i always get the feeling that he very seldom enjoys playing at international level with players that are of a lesser standard than he is used to at club level. Long balls flying around his ears, crosses that have no address and short passes that are often played on the wrong side and i wonder what he really thinks of the long throw tactic? Its all quite frustrating i guess.

I watched the SVT morning sports panel on monday. I haven´t seen it for a while and the general content of the program was as usual pleasent without actually waking me up. However Johan Esk looking like ”Bruno” made it hard for me to concentrate on what he was saying and whatever Pamela Andersson puts in her morning coffee i want some. I have seen people at a rave party more  subdued.

I listened to the Malta game on the radio driving back from Stockholm. Ralf and Lasse are always entertaining and from what i have heard it was a better alternative than actually seeing the game. 6 points ,2nd place in the group and SA getting ever closer.

I did however get home in time to see England – Croatia. 5-1 and some of the best football England have produced in years. I guess we are going to be one of the favourites to win in South Africa.

Argentina however will find it hard to reach the finals. Whoever made Maradona national coach needs shooting.
