Docusoaps no match for reality!

I watched last nights two new ”docusoaps”. Skånefruar and ”King of Tylösand” well not every minute of the programmes but enough to build an opinion. I know this is TV and of course they edit the shows so we can see the most ”interesting” events that occur but whats the purpose of these shows?

First out was ”Skånefruar”. Five ”successful” woman who get together and do what? One of them cries all the time (not sure why) another is hornier than Charlie Sheen a third seems to be a throw back from ”Woodstock” and the other two i haven´t got a clue what they have to contribute.

King of Tylösand is Big Brother outdoors. A group of hand picked ”wannabees” who obviously do whatevers needed to ”shock” and embarass as many people as possible. I wonder what their parents are thinking today? I am sure a months holiday in Tylösand sounded like a fun idea but it might end up costing more than they imagined. The old motto ”what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” is a thing of the past.

Whatever they think up for the next ”docusoap” it wont be better than what apparently happens in the lives of Premier League footballers on a day to day basis.

Enough talk about ”docusoaps” its now time for Liar Liar and Jim Carey.

Boatman best in Idol Auditions!

Sweden did their job well last night 6-0 with 10 men for 55 mins was professional to say the least. A solid start 6 points and a happier Zlatan. Add a lot of youngsters with growing confidence and Holland away in October might not be as difficult as first thought.

England are once again looking good in the qualifiers. 4-0 at home to Bulgaria followed by a 3-1 away win against Switzerland is more than a solid start. Adam Johnson could be a star in the making and Joe Hart could solve the well documented goalkeeping problem.

At the office this morning and things are moving along smoothly. Jr has many interesting ideas for Lansdowne.se and a meeting with Wilson Creative is planned for tomorrow ar 11.

Wednesday evening and i was spoilt for choice on the TV. 2½ Men, Simpsons and CSI Miami are the usual choices but i had a look at Idol 2010, The Angry Carpenter and even Family Guy. I can´t handle the ”Idol Auditions” it amazes me that there are that many ”dissasters” that thing they can sing. I did however like the 29 year from Gotland who lived on a boat and worked as a baker. He had some talent and could be a ”dark horse”. As always i took the safest alternative Family Guy. The writers for Family Guy are the sort of people i would love to have a night out with.

Must have a look at ”Skånefruar” on Chanel 5 at 21.00. A Facebook friend of mine is involved in the project. Good luck Christina!

Running low on fuel

Still not 100% fit for another football match. Missed last nights ”korpen” game for ”Glitter Smurfarna”! Biggy Wiggy played in the defeat and injured his cartlidge. Out for 4-6 weeks. I instead jogged 3,2 km at ”Stensö” last night and followed that up with a good pace run tonight along side Jr and Tommy B. My journey to Stensö was eventful. 1km from home and i ran out of petrol. I luckily however had a 5 litre reserve container in the boot but unluckily it was empty! Fortunately i wasn´t far from Biggy´s and being the friend he is a quick call and 10 mins later we were off to the petrol station. The now famous  Green Mercedes has a few problems at the moment. The petrol gauge doesn´t work, windscreen wipers are playing up, exhaust system is noicy and there are a lot of blinking lights on the display panel. Maybe its a sign that its time for a change.

Sweden – San Marino on TV10!! I managed to tune in right away (Channel 27 on my TV). Larsson and Källström start and Zlatan is playing in his home town. Anything less than 5-0 is not acceptable.

Tiger Woods is in Team USA´s Ryder Cup side and i have a feeling he won´t dissappoint anyone.

Switzerland – England  later tonight. Cahill and Jagielka are the two central defenders and they need to be sharp.

Meet ”The Consultant”.

Monday and back in the old routine. Only 7 minutes ”Sport Panel” in SVT´s morning programme. Tommy Engstrand and Jennifer Wegerup were todays 2 panelists. Tommy talked about his new found admiration for Zlatan and how hard he worked for the whole 90 mins and how tired he looked towards the end. Not surprisingly as he hasn´t played that much the last month and secondly 3 injuries meant all the substitutions had been made. Jennifer went ever further in the Zlatan admiration club and praised the way he made Wernbloom´s second goal by ”cleverly” holding off a defender allowing Pontus W to get a free header. Zlatan pushed the defender blatently in the back and should have had a freekick against him. But i guess we all see things differently.

I caught up on the weekends happenings over lunch with Silver, Jr and Biggy Wiggy. Didn´t miss alot apparently! I did however miss thursdays long awaited ”Premiere” for the ”Consultant”. It´s the Wilson Boys latest creation. Chris Karlsson is Kalmars answer to David Brent. If your company needs a ”make over” then CK is your man. If only HQ Bank had called earlier. http://www.ostranplay.se

Does anyone recognise the Green Mercedes?

First JT then Ashley followed by Crouch and now Wayne Rooney. The boys really do love a dirty. I wonder what Don Fabio really thinks of his players ”off field” activities? The current England squad really hasn´t helped the myth that all footballers are stupid and overpaid. It certainly wasn´t like that it my days. None of us were overpaid.

PGA golf on Viasat tonight. Tiger Woods could lose his world nr 1 ranking to ”Lefty” Mickelson or ”SS” Stricker. Not really been a good year for the Tiger i guess!

Stockholm by day and by night.

At last internet again! 3 days in Stockholm at an Hotel that had ”server” problems! I really must get an iphone and soon. Great weekend however.

Friday and golf at Bro Bålsta with ”Snäckan” and Micke L. A windy, rainy, grey day with thick rough big uneven greens and a dodgy pitching wedge! Despite these problems it was an enjoyable 18 holes and my 3 pars and a bogey finish was just enough to take the spoils.

After the golf a quick shower 2 pints and the worst hamburger for years at the Bishops Arms and i was off to Råsunda to watch the ”new” Sweden play Hungary in a European Qualifier. Eric K had sorted me out a couple of great tickets in the VIP area. Row 2 a little bit right of the half way line 2nd tier. Zlatan was in a class of his own for the first 45 mins and the only thing missing was a clinical finish. I like the new generation they all play with confidence and will only get better as the group qualifiers go on. Wernbloom is the new Clabbe Ingesson, Bajrami can be a new Limpar and even Toivonen, Larsson and Lustig have the qualities  needed at this level. My only question is why on earth is Elmander playing wide right? He is a hard working forward who needs to chase long balls and put the opposition under pressure. He hasn´t the skills required to play as a ”winger”. Sebastian Larsson is a well schooled (Arsenal) wide man and should be given the chance to stake his claim. All in all 2-0 is a a great start to their campaign.

After the match Snäckan and myself made our way to town. Hotel Anglais was our choice and a few pints dissappeared whilst analysing the match. Peter H made a guest appearance a bit later and showed us pictures of his new BMW X6. Nice to know things are going well for some. Around midnight we moved along to Sturehöf before Snäckan took a taxi home. I went for a night cap at Bishops Arms and met up with some footballing legends. Ralf E, Glenn H, Mattias S, Stefan A and Jonas W. You can make your own conclusions as to which of these are ”legends”. See photo below!

Saturday started with a lay in. Brunch at 11. Egg and bacon and everything else i shouldn´t be eating. A long walk to the Castle and back. Then time for a drink with Janne 2 flavours. Once again Bishops Arms was the destination. (no hamburger) An enjoyable afternoon where plans were made for the near and distant future and we both agreed that Starobrno is not a bad alternative to Staropramen.

PK´s Bergkvara AIF recovered well from their defeat against TV Allstars and beat Gullaboås 2-1 and moved ever closer to becoming league champions.

I dont often read the newspapers but when staying at a hotel i scan through the sports pages. I sat reading the ”Svenskadagbladet” on saturday and Anders Lindblads match report of the Sweden – Hungary game. I sometimes wonder if  journalists actually watch the games they report on. His personal opinion of the game i have no problem with but when he wrote that Wernbloom scored his second headed goal from a Kallström corner then you have to start wondering!!

I drove back sunday lunch in my ”loaned” Mitsubishi Outlander and must admit i was impressed. Who knows it could be something for Lansdowne.se.

Max Grinndal is definately ”Kanon o Kalkon” king.

Sverige- Ungern

2nd row VIP seats.

Ralf o Glenn

Footballing legends.

Holyfield puts things in perspective.

I must admit that i am quite proud of losing 17 kg and once again managing to play football at a reasonable standard and all this at the age of 51. Then i read an article in one of Englands less reputable rags that Evander Holyfield is looking to fight one (or both) of the Klitschko´s and become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Holyfield will be 48 on the 19th of October that makes my efforts look pretty tame. Maybe i should start planning a comeback for Kalmar FF.

9 holes at Kalmar Golf Club afterwork today. I played the ”old course” with Jr and have to say their investment in the new greens is starting to pay off and next season it could well be one of the countries best courses.

The transfer deadline came and went with very little action. Van der Vaart signing for Spurs was probably the most interesting move. I read that my all team West Ham have signed Lars Jacobsen from Blackburn on a free transfer. My only reflection is WHY?

I am off to Stockholm tomorrow evening. Golf friday with ”Snäckan” and a client at Bro Bålsta and then Sweden – Hungary at Råsunda later in the evening.

Congratulations to Gustav Eliésersson who once again won the ”King of the Castle” monthly event. Gustav won with 16 days Lars Corell (15) was runner up and Barbro Peiper (14) 3rd.  A Lansdowne.se T-Shirt is on its way to Lars and Barbro and Gustav won a sport bag. Good luck to you all in September!

The last of this seasons ”Murder in Midsommar” is on tonight. Another sign that summer is coming to an end.

Its not all sunny in Kalmar!

At last it seems like everyone is back at work and i can get some work done. The weather however is still good and around 18 degrees but for some the autumn clothes have already replaced the shorts. However people are still outside drinking coffee and eating lunch and enjoying the last couple of weeks of Sweden at its best.

This weekends match has taken its toll on my body. My right knee is not a 100% and i have been advised to have a training free week. However a 5 km walk is probably within my limits.

I drove past Fredriksskans this afternoon and saw Kalmar FF were training. These are difficult and unusual times for both players and coaching staff alike at Kalmar FF. They have been a top five side for 6 years and now have to prepare for what could be a very tough last 9 games. Nanne has what could probably be his toughest challenge yet. Its not easy turning a negative trend into a positive one. Forwards have forgotten how to score, midfielders not getting forward as often as before and defenders dropping off to quickly. I´ve seen at all before during my time at Kalmar FF and know things don´t fix themselves.

Robinho has signed a four year deal with Milan for a reported transfer fee of 240 million SEK. 2 years after Man City paid 390 million SEK for him! A loss of 150 mille in 2 years. Not good business.

ICA´s new advert is their best for ages. Carlsbergs however are brilliant.

Time to watch The Clearing now! Robert Redford, Helen Mirren and Willem Dafoe. Quality line up!

Zlatan hot stuff again.

Sat watching SVT´s morning programme this morning. Always start my week with their sports panel unfortunately due to the up coming general election debate they only had 7 mins today and what was the topic of conversation? Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Its amazing the amount of publicity he gets. He has now managed to upset people at Barcelona and been sold back to Italy. Hussfelt and Birro sat in the studio last night with probably their biggest hard ons for years! Don´t get me wrong Zlatan is a footballing genius but lets wait untill he makes his debut and scores before going into extacy.

Ronaldinho looked like the old Ronaldinho and Pato the new Torres. If they now buy Robinho from City then AC Milan could be exciting to watch this year. Who knows Zlatan might win a league title for the 9th year in a row.

Bill Skarsgård ! Great name and the next in the family to become a movie star. The Baldwins have now got competition for the most talentful family.

I was reading a profile on Face Book this evening. She listed her likes and dislikes. Likes: 2½ Men, Family Guy, Stureplan, Partying. Dislikes: Partrick Ekwall !!  I must admit i laughed for about an hour.

Talked to Noodles, Biggy Wiggy and PK today. We all were suffering from Saturdays adventures!

Junior has contracted ”Swine-Pox” and not at the office this week. It sounds worse and more contagious in English.

Unbeatable both on and off the pitch!

Today has been the day after a long night! TV Allstars were in great form both on and off the pitch. 11.30 and lunch with the Stockholm boys Paddy, AA, Olle S, The Hat, The Cat and SVTFjäll then back to Kalmar Sund Hotel and met up with the others. 35 mins to Bergkvara and rain was in the air. Not a great turn out crowd wise but the brave few that made the effort hopefully enjoyed what they saw. A solid fighting performance with AA getting the winner from the penalty spot in the last minute. 5-4 and unbeaten for the season. Wirmola, AA 2 and Benny M 2 were the scorers and solid performances all round.

A quick shower 20 mins in the Sauna and off to the Banquet. A Picturesque dance arena in the forest was the location. Great food good service some great speeches and far to much red wine for Noodles and myself. Paddy was as usual of sharp wit when asking the band when they were going to get changed. His usual midget joke had me as the victim. Benno then took centre stage and had a brilliant ”stand up” 15 mins. SVTFjäll also got in on the act and his victim was Benno and not appreciated by all. It then started pouring down the band (2 people) played rock and roll Benny and Benno were doing their stuff on the dance floor and Noodles kept the red wine coming.

Next stop Kalmar and Harrys. A table for 20 people, enough drinks for about 40. Red wine changed to Vodka Cranberry and a few of the usual suspects were in place. All in all a great day. I made my way home around 1.45 and arrived just as my neighbours were in full party mode. I of course popped in to say hello and stayed untill 4.

I had a great nights sleep but am now feeling the effects of both the match and the late night. 51 and still haven´t learnt.

Halmstad – Kalmar FF 2-1. Things are not looking good for my old side. The ”Golden Bird Arena” could well be Superettans best stadium.

Sunderland beat Man City and Wigan won at Tottenham. You cant afford to lose against these sides and hope to make the top 4.

Peter Hansson in the Ryder Cup. Casey, Rose are not. Strange rules in the world of golf.

Milan are looking good. Zlatan might not make the starting line up. 3-0 up at half time and Pato has scored twice.

Did anyone see Paddys suit in the TV Sport studio tonight? Roger Moore had one just like it in the Saint.

TV - Bergkvara

Junior Bosse N and a bit of Paddy.

TV - Bergkvara 1

Noodles with his IPhone ”camera”. PK and Benny in the background.

TV - Bergkvara 2

2 goal hero AA not feeling the cold. Mr Djurgården Pelle K looks lost!

No laughs being a comedian.

A busy last two days and not a lot of time for contemplation. Thursday evening was ”After Work” time and MIK (Kalmar´s Marketing Network) were the hosts. I like the idea every last thursday in the month we get together ”mingle” at ”Byttan” and hopefully combine business with pleasure. It was a good turnout and many familiar faces. At the same time as our ”After Work” was coming to an end ”Byttan” had there Stand up Comedy evening for up and coming talent. I listened to the first two ”talents” before sneaking out. It´s a tough business trying to make people laugh and when your audience is made up of 10-15 twenty year olds (mostly girls) a group from the UK and not a lot of others and your jokes are mostly of a sexual nature then you die.

Friday was ”Mix Megapol” golf time. Kalmar Golf Club was the venue a shot gun start at 9.00 and 2 man scramble was the format. I played together with ”Silver” and i must say we worked well together. We started with 3 bogeys but then had 13 pars and ended up with a 67. Our playing partners Paddy Hot and Engen were in a different league. 7 birdies and eagle and 10 pars gave a winning score of 57 and it was a pleasure being a witness to their round.

After golf i was back at the office. Lots to do and still having problems with my suppliers! 3 hours later and i was on my way to Bergkvara. PK´s boys were playing Madesjö at home and a win would move them closer to the title. BAIF were in charge straight away and after 10 mins  Junior picked the ball up 25 m out and let fly with his left foot the keeper had no chance. But instead of building on that goal not a lot happened and when Madesjö equalised early in the second half things didn´t look good. Then Gökalunds ”Mourinho” PK made a couple of changes. Jimmy J in up front Jr dopped back to midfield and it ended 3-1 to Bergkvara. Both goals scored by Jimmy J.

Early night for me last night. Today is match day. TV Allstars are in town. Paddy and the Stockholm boys arrive in Kalmar at 11. Bosse N is on his way from Båstad, Benny and Robban from Skåne and Wirmola from somewhere else. We are playing Bergkvara to celebrate their 80th anniversary and then partying at Harrys later tonight. Can it get any better?

Gina Tricot´s latest advertisment makes me want to buy a tunic.Mixmegapol golf 2010

The winners Paddy Hot and Engen!
