A visit to Wallander country!

TV Laget´s last game for the season took place in Tomelilla on friday. We inaugurated their artificial pitch in front of 1200 Tomelilla natives! Night matches are not my cup of tea nowadays. Firstly the floodlights were not the best ever used and secondly i am as blind as a bat in the dark. I guess it was just as well then that i was firstly there as trainer and secondly as an ageing forward substitute. The only problem was i couldn´t see who was who or who did what so when it came to substitutions it was mostly guess work. Our opponents were nearly all around 20 and they ran forever. We had only 14 players with an average age of around 40. Only Junior making his TV Laget debut was under 30. So i guess a 4-3 defeat was ok. The good news was that Benny M scored for the first time for 8 games. As regards my coaching performance. I made two big mistakes. Firstly the big man ”Wirmola” should play at the back and not up front. Secondly i should have given myself a lot more playing time.

Saturday was spent in Ystad. GDO, Yngwe, Wee man, Jr and myself played golf at Abbekås GK in fantastic late summer weather whilst the others chose a more cultural way to spend the day. After golf and a few well needed beers it was Yngwe´s debut as party general. A good choice of restaurant. Good food, dodgy wine some great grappa and a fantastic ”sing a long” before it was Ystad by night. Apparently there is only one place open for us over 40´s. I am not sure what it was called or where it was but i remember a similar sort of ambience in a club in Erfurt (East Germany) in the early 80´s. It was Jr´s 24th birthday on sunday so after midnight it was champagne time. The evening ended with a long walk home a quick visit to Max hambuger bar and a well needed sleep.

Arsenal have Van Persie to thank for there latest 3 points.

Trelleborg FF in the Superettan 2012. In one way its a shame in another its probably where they belong. An average home crowd of under 3000 says it all.

Tom Lewis. Remember that name. A 20 year old playing only his third tournament on the European Golf  Tour outclassed a quality field and won the Portugal Masters. He is from the same town as Nick Faldo and has that same star quality needed to reach the very top.

Ystad

Jr and Paddy before his debut. Jr´s not Paddy´s!

Ystad 2

GDO and the Wee man!

Ystad 4

Yngwe and Ricardo not happy with the result?

Ystad 5

Ystad 6

Paddy GDO and Jr. Three generations of TV Laget!! 20+ 30+ 40+
