Winter is here

Autumn has become winter in Kalmar. I knew last night when i woke up shivering at 3 in the morning that it was time to shut the window and get the extra blanket out! The long Swedish winter has started. No golf untill April always finishing work when its dark, gloves and wolly hat on and an extra thick winter jacket is a must. I have lived here for 25 winters now so it is nothing new. It does however not get any easier to endure. I understand why people of my age who have survived twice as many winters get depressed.

Indoor football on fridays starts soon. I am looking forward to it this year. 5 kg lighter and after a solid season with TV Allstars behind me. As usual it will be oldies against the youngsters and as long as PK is in goal we will always have a chance.

Marlon King a premier league player was today jailed for 18 months for assaulting a 20 year old woman at a night club. His club Wigan have sacked him and rightly so. I just hope he never gets the chance to play at that level again.
