Back in the old routine. Good day at the office and business seems to be picking up. Another sign that business is getting better is that no one had time to eat lunch with me. So i had the company of Afton Bladet and read all about how good a journalist Erik Niva is. I also found out that Elin had used the old sms trick to track down her Tigers new pussy. That George Clooney had landed in Östersund and that a mad elephant had attacked a 31 year old swede in Thailand. I will definately be buying Afton Bladet sometime again in 2010.

Footballs ”silly season” has been a dissapointment so far. I mentioned last week that Arsenal were interested in Fulhams 20 year old central defender Chris Smalling. It was today confirmed that he has signed for Man Utd instead. I guess he must have some potential then. Robinho wants to go back to Brazil and a lot of Man Citys fans want him to as well! Santos are interested. Routledge from QPR to Newcastle is a good deal for the Magpies.

Visited the gym tonight and for the first time since i started training the ”treadmill” was occupied. So i had to quickly change my routine. 10 mins on the bike, 5 mins on the rowing machine and 10 mins weights. I am not sure if that compensated for my usual run but i did get a good sweat on.

Some important games on the TV tonight so i wont be bored.

Another trip to Stockholm is over and as always great to visit the capital and even better to be back in Kalmar. A visit to Svenska Spel and a photo session for the upcoming SM (swedish championships) in Stryktips which starts this weekend. I must admit that even despite my back ground of having played in England and having a great knowledge of all premier league sides i have never had any great success as a ”tipster”. I now however have 6 weeks to show the doubters that i know my stuff. Will be in contact with my brother in London and of course having a chat with Junior before making my picks. The journey home was as long and as unexciting as ever. 4 hours 30 mins that even Mix Megapol couldn´t make enjoyable.

Another successful ”Trade Fair”. Its always a pleasure to spend 2 days in the company of Noodles and Snäckan. As predicted Snäckan arrived first at around 9.30, i made it in second place but this time only a few minutes before Noodles. I googled the quickest route from Kalmar – Jönköping and then followed instructions. I am not sure who was working on the ”quickest routes” page that day but whoever it was should be shot. I find trade fairs in general to be a very monotonous but after 10 years (x2) of visiting the Promomotion Expo time just flies by. I cant say this years Expo had a great deal of revolutionary new products or designs but the general feel for 2010 was a positive one!

Our tactical strategy of how we could visit as many of our ”suppliers” as possible in the 6 hours we had given ourselves before the first beer (16.00) was as usual somewhat chaotic. Lots of familar faces and stories of the party the night before doesn´t make our task any easier. Some of our visits to the various ”booths” are just to pick up catalogues others take longer. But our 16.00 beer is a tradition we never miss.

Day 2 usually means a hangover and slow motion. This friday however all 3 of us arrive on time and the morning session is one of most effective day 2 starts ever. Yngwe at PF Concept was in great shape. He is in my book the best sales rep in his field. Effective, entertaining and positive and he had a new tattoo to show me along with a revolutionary ”survival kit”.

Friday afternoon, Promo Expo over for another year and i head north to Stockholm. I am very rarely in the capital city nowadays and this time i dont have that much planed. Staying at hotel Amaranten in ”Kungsholmen” and a walk along the river past the Town Hall is definately on the cards. Friday 20.00 and it was drinking time with Daggers Gary. He has found a new haunt called ”Regents Pub” not that far from the old ”Loft” on Regeringsgatan. After a few hours and a few pints i get the feeling Regents could well be my new Stockholm local.

Breakfast is always a nightmare at Amaranten so i decided on a late one. 10.45 gives me just enough time to eat up and take my ”Latte” with me before they shut the doors. The suns shinning and i am off out.
